Pumpkin Ash Fraxinus tomentosa
Family: Oleaceae (Olive)
Branching: Opposite
This ash is rare in Canada and is only found in the most southern
regions. It has the largest leaves, leaflets and fruits (keys) of
the native ashes, and is most tolerant of standing water. Often
it is found in places that are flooded nearly all year. Its twigs
and leaves tend to be hairy.
